What is the Truva Standard?
A written test with five weighted checks: ingredient truth at 40 percent, clinical evidence at 20, recall history at 15, sourcing at 15 and brand integrity at 10. Products are graded A to D and we carry B and above. A separate safety question can pull a product no matter what it scored. Read the Standard in full
Is this really about my dog, or about me?
Honestly, both, but mostly you. Your dog cannot read a panel. You can. We built this so you get to be the person who checked, the same way you'd check anything else with your name on it. The dog benefits either way. You're the one who has to answer for what's in the bowl.
Do you publish the grades?
Yes, for everything we sell and everything we have pulled. In September 2026 we re-scored all 38 products we were carrying and 17 came off the shelf, each one listed with its specific reason, including a mistake of our own. See what we pulled and why
We do not publish scores for products we never carried. We have not done that work properly, and a grade we have not earned the right to give is just an opinion with a letter on it.
Do brands pay to be listed?
No. Not now, not ever. No placement fees, no sponsored spots, no affiliate deals that decide what goes on the shelf. There is no rate card, because there is nothing to buy.
Why is a brand I like not here?
Either it did not pass the Standard, or we could not verify something we needed to: an ingredient source, a recall explanation, a nutritional adequacy statement. If we used to carry it, the reason is written down on What We Pulled. If we never carried it, email us and we will read its panel with you and send you the working, whether or not we end up stocking it. Do you sell products for other animals?
No. Truva is for dogs only. Every product, every page, every check is written for a dog's bowl.
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Free on orders of $49 or more. Under $49, a flat $6.99. Orders ship in 1 to 3 business days from our US partners, then take 3 to 7 days in transit. We ship to the lower 48 states. Full shipping policy
What if my dog does not like it?
Every order carries a 30 day guarantee, opened or not. Email hello@truvapets.com with your order number and we will make it right. Returns and guarantee
Is it safe to combine supplements?
